Just want to share an incident that my friend went through this week and what is the best investment anyone could make.
My friend was trying to log in to his trading account and it kept telling him that his password was wrong. He then called his broker and went through the process of resetting his password that's after all the verification questions. Once he got access and was back online he noticed that some money was withdrawn form his cash balance. He then called back and asked what the heck it was they told him that you requested money from your account in the form of a check to be delivered to the following address (they told him the address which he also could see online). He asked if they would be able to stop it and was told no. Why? Because the check was already processed sent out and most likely cashed. So they check, after 45 minutes on hold what do you know, it was cashed at some liquor store and they gave him the name.
There was nothing he could do. Now how did that happen? He told me that he thinks someone went through his garbage. I then I ask him, what the hell is wrong with you? Buy your self a freakin shredder. If you are sitting there think well I don't have one and I'm OK. NO you are not OK. Get your ass up now and get one. A cheep investment that could save your life and your money.
He told me that his password was his freakin phone number and then I just stopped asking him questions because that's what you just call a crazy ass. You never put our phone number as your password.
